Things you should know
Each wing of the hotel and each room is unique- the rooms are self service meaning you can just grab your own towels, toilet paper, soap etc from the cart nearest to your room, they are set up throughout the hotel
The midnight sun in Norway is a real thing, and many of the rooms do not have blackout curtains. Bring an eye mask if this may be an issue for you.
There is no room service or onsite restaurant where you can order meals but food is included in the price of the room and 3 meals are served each day.
Meals are served buffet style and are all you can eat. There is always a variety of hot and cold options each day.
If you have any dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegan, allergies) please reach out to the hotel in advance and they will accommodate you.
Water pitchers and glasses are on carts throughout the dining room, and is free, you only have to pay for alcoholic beverages and soda.
Breakfast is from 8am-12pm.
Soup and Cake are served from 12pm-7pm
Dinner is from 7pm until 9pm
After you have finished eating, you are responsible for clearing your table.
There are carts everywhere in the dining room with a bins for food waste, trash and utensils- please put them in the cart accordingly.
There is coffee and tea in the lobby at all times. It’s self serve and free.
Each room has either 1 or 2 beds and a private bathroom with heated floors
The rooms DO NOT have: a top sheet, shower caps, wash cloths, a microwave, a fridge, climate control, or fans. If you need or want a fan one can be purchased at Clas Olsen or Biltema in downtown Vinstra
There is no laundry service onsite so bring enough clothes for your entire stay or plan to wash clothes in your bathroom sink
The hotel gym is furnished with some benches, a squat rack, plates, a cable machine, a leg extension, hamstring curl, seated row, a press machine, a few dumbbells and 2 exercise bikes.
The hotel has a sauna in each locker room, an indoor pool and they own several mountain bikes and helmets which are you can rent for 400kr per day
There is also a lake and swimming area should you want to take a dip in fresh water- feel free to bring water shoes so you aren’t standing on slimy rocks!
Fefor Høifjellshotell is on a mountain, and its a nice hike to the summit which features a breathtaking view- bring hiking boots if they are more comfortable for you
Norway uses the standard Euro plug socket with two round prongs so you can use adapter types “C” or “F” (often labelled as a Northern Europe adapter) should you need to purchase adapters for your electronics. If you forget to bring them they can be purchased at Clas Olsen or Biltema in Vinstra
Your stay at the hotel has to be paid in advance at check in.
DON'T put drinks on a tab! Regardless of where it is purchased whether it be at the arena, in the bar, in the restaurant or in the lobby you must pay when you buy it.
You are guaranteed check in after 3pm on the day of your reservation. The day you leave you have to check out from your room no later than 11am.
If yo are up for the day and want to eat at the hotel, a full day of meal cost NOK 950,- For that you can eat all you want, all day.
The ice cream in the counter in the lobby is NOT free- please purchase it at the counter in the lobby
